Director

(Diploma Qualified & Nominated Supervisor)

I am the Director of Whitfords Occasional Child Care Centre.

My history in Childcare goes back to 2011 where I began my Traineeship. Working in a 20 place Kindy room I quickly found my passion, and from there I completed my Certificate 3 and Diploma.

In 2014 I started working as the 0-2 room Qualified Educator at Whitfords Occasional. I worked my way up from educator to 2IC to finally the position I hold now of Centre Director. I have been running the centre since 2015 and absolutely love my job. 

Courtney Shaw

Hi Everyone, My name is Courtney and I have been in the Childcare industry for 14 years and counting. Childcare is a huge passion of mine. I have worked at Whitfords Occasional since 2013 working in both the 0-2 room and at present the Kindy room. I also currently hold the role of Educational Leader of the Centre and 2IC.

Sonia Brazier

0-2 Room Leader

(DIPLOMA QUALIFIED EDUCATOR)

Hi Everyone, My name is Sonia and I am the room leader of the 0-2 room. Originally from Shrewsberry in the UK, me and my family relocated to Australia 10 years ago. I have 4 children and 7 grand kids. I started working at Whitfords Occasional in 2014 as a Relief Educator, soon after this I went full time and also completed my Diploma. I have experience in both the kindy room and the 0-2 room. 

Gladys Lothian

0-2 room Educator

(CURRENTLY STUDYING DIPLOMA)

Hi Everyone, My name is Gladys and I am originally from Peru. I am a mother to 4 wonderful children and a grandparent to 6.

I started off at Whitfords Occasional as a work experience student whilst studying my Certificate 3. soon after completing my hours I was offered a part time job. I have since worked my way up to full time and I have also started studying for my Diploma. 

Nola Garcia

Kindy room Educator

Hi Everyone, my name is Nola and I am a part time Educator, I work mainly in the kindy room but sometimes I help out in the 0-2 room. I share a full time position with Lauren and between us we cover 5 days a week. I have worked in childcare for roughly 17 years, caring for a variety of ages. I am a mother of 3 and I have 2 wonderful grandchildren.

Hi Everyone. my name is Lauren and I work part time in the kindy room. I split share 5 days with Nola. I have been in the childcare industry for 12 years. 

Natalie Miles

Early Childhood Teacher

ECT through an Information Communication Technology solution (Storypark)

My name is Natalie Miles and I am the Early Childhood Teacher at Whitfords Occasional. I am qualified in Primary and Early Years so fulfil this role at the centre through an online format whilst also working as a primary school teacher. I have been a teacher for 9 years now and absolutely love my job. Before moving to this role I was the on site Early Childhood teacher at Whitfords for 5 years and it was a role I thoroughly enjoyed. I am a big supporter of the centre and all the amazing work all the educators do.
